About Katie Fielding

  • Katie has worked as a Haemodialysis Nurse for over 22 years.
  • Katie is currently undertaking a PHD looking at Patient experiences of Needling.
  • Katie is also training to become an Advanced Clinical Practitioner. 
  • Katie has led on a set of recommendations around needling, which are now the standard for needling practice for Nursing Staff within in the UK.
  • Katie has been involved in the MAGIC project (Managing Access by Generating Improvement in Cannulation) to help implement  the recommendations into practice.
  • Katie has been involved developing a National competency document to standardise the standard needling practice for Nurses.
